中国・江蘇省宜興市出身。幼少より書香と水墨文化に親しみ、後に著名画家・呉冠南に師事する。

現在、呉冠中美術館特聘画家、江蘇省美術家協会および書法家協会会員。宜興市美術家協会副秘書長、宜興市総合材料絵画協会副会長を務める。

花卉を主題とし、工筆と写意を融合させた表現を特徴とする。作品は清雅で静謐、かつ高潔な気韻を備え、筆墨の趣の中に自然の生命感を宿し、芸術の本質と内面感情の詩的表現を追求している。

Fan Li | Meng Xi

A contemporary ink artist who fuses gongbi and xieyi to create poetic floral compositions of refined elegance and quiet vitality.

Fan Li (art names: Mengxi, Qianxi) was born in Yixing, Jiangsu, China. Raised in a scholarly family immersed in calligraphy and ink traditions, she later studied under the renowned painter Wu Guannan.

She is currently a specially appointed artist at the Wu Guanzhong Art Museum, and a member of both the Jiangsu Artists Association and the Jiangsu Calligraphers Association. She also serves as Deputy Secretary-General of the Yixing Artists Association and Vice President of the Yixing Mixed Media Painting Association.

Focusing primarily on floral subjects, Fan Li integrates gongbi (meticulous brushwork) and xieyi (freehand ink painting). Her works are characterized by a refined, tranquil, and elegant aesthetic, embodying a sense of restraint and purity. Through subtle brushwork and ink expression, she conveys the vitality of nature while pursuing an authentic and poetic articulation of inner emotion.
