Hu Yuna is a contemporary artist whose practice is rooted in Surreal Romanticism. A graduate of the postgraduate program at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, where she studied under renowned painter Xin Dongwang, she develops a distinctive visual language centered on flowers, birds, crystalline forms, and flowing tubular structures. In her paintings, flowers transcend their botanical identity and become vessels of memory, emotion, and lived experience. Islands, skies, birds, and light unfold within blooming petals, creating dreamlike landscapes that exist between reality and imagination. Through luminous color harmonies and symbolic imagery, Hu constructs poetic spaces that invite viewers to reflect on life, freedom, and inner transformation. Her works have been presented in international exhibitions and art fairs, including Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong, Study × PLAS Asia Art Fair in Osaka, and the China–Italy International Art Biennale.
