馬永強（マー・ヨンチョン）
砂や粒子素材を用い、触覚的な抽象構造によって生命の不可視の秩序を可視化する作家。
馬永強は1971年、中国山東省煙台市生まれ。1996年に山東芸術学院を卒業、2008年に中央美術学院にて修士号を取得。中国美術家協会会員、フランス国際芸術家・デザイナー協会会員。
砂や陶粒といった粒子状の素材を主な媒介とし、触覚性と物質性の強い抽象表現を展開している。作品は単なる視覚的再現にとどまらず、堆積や生成といったプロセスを通して、生命の感覚を空間的な構造へと転換する試みである。可視的な表層の奥に潜む秩序やエネルギーの顕在化を目指している。
作品は日本、韓国、シンガポール、フランス、ドイツ、アメリカなどで発表されている。
馬永強は、砂や陶粒を用いたマテリアル表現で知られる中国の現代抽象作家である。テクスチャーと層構造を通して生命の本質に迫り、物質と内面的感覚を結びつける視覚体験を創出している。
Ma Yongqiang
An abstract artist who constructs tactile, material-based landscapes using sand and granular media to embody invisible structures of life.
Ma Yongqiang, born in 1971 in Yantai, Shandong, China, graduated from Shandong University of Arts in 1996 and obtained his MFA from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2008. He is a member of the China Artists Association and the French International Association of Artists and Designers.
Working primarily with sand and ceramic granules, Ma has developed a distinctive abstract language characterized by strong tactility and material presence. His practice moves beyond the depiction of external forms, transforming sensory perceptions of life into layered visual structures through processes of accumulation and sedimentation. His works seek to reveal the underlying order and energy beneath visible reality.
His works have been exhibited internationally across Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Ma Yongqiang is a contemporary Chinese abstract artist known for his material-based practice using sand and ceramic granules. His works explore the essence of life through textured surfaces and layered structures, creating immersive visual experiences that bridge physical matter and inner perception.
